What does the flare gun do in fortnite -  One of the weekly challenges in Fortnite for Chapter 2 Season 3 Week 5 involves using a Firefly Jar or Flare Gun in Misty Meadows. Misty Meadows is easy to find, as it's a name located on the map, but finding a Firefly jar or flare gun can be a bit more awkward.

After spending a few games in Misty Meadows and looting everything we could find, it's much easier to find Flare Guns here than Firefly Jars.

How to get a jar of Firefly Fortnite

The main way to find fireflies is to keep your eyes peeled as you run around the map and play. Fireflies can randomly appear near trees and campfires and you should be able to spot them as they will cast a soft, warm glow over the surrounding area.

When you find them, run up and interact with them and you will grab them out of the air and create a vase of fireflies. You can throw Firefly Pots at enemies or structures. If you hit another player with them, they will deal 40 damage and then proceed to deal tick damage if they remain in the flames. They will set structures on fire and can eventually burn down a building or an opponent's crate.

How to get flare gun fortnite

You can grab the flare gun from loot, sword, supplies, or just randomly spawn on the ground, just like any other weapon in the game. The flare gun will deal 60 damage to an enemy if you hit them. It has six shots when you pick it up and will take 1.5 seconds to reload between shots. Interestingly, when you fire the last shot, the flare gun will disappear from your inventory, so it looks like there will be no extra ammo for flare guns.

The bullet itself is pretty slow, so it should be pretty easy to dodge, but it does seem to have a blast radius when it explodes. It also doesn't seem like it sets cover on fire, so you won't really be able to take out enemy crate builds as it will take too long to remove cover.

He only needs to use the items in this area, the challenges didn't see him needing to deal damage to an opponent with them.
